ZEGG’s Twelve Theses for a Nonviolent World

by Dieter Duhm, 1992

The worldwide violence against animals, children and nations demands a new concept of human civilization. The inner and outer crises are two aspects of the same problem–a problem that can only be understood or resolved if both aspects are considered. For several years, Project Meiga — Experiment for a Humane Earth — formed in Germany, has been working to form an international cooperative for a human existence free of fear and violence. The following 12 theses emphasize the direction of this effort.

John Trudell acclaimed poet, national recording artist, actor and activist.

Published on Jun 12, 2013

John Trudell is an acclaimed poet, national recording artist, actor and activist whose international following reflects the universal language of his words, work and message. Trudell (Santee Sioux) was a spokesperson for the Indian of All Tribes occupation of Alcatraz Island from 1969 to 1971. He then worked with the American Indian Movement (AIM), serving as Chairman of AIM from 1973 to 1979. In February of 1979, a fire of unknown origin killed Trudell’s wife, three children and mother-in-law. It was through this horrific tragedy that Trudell began to find his voice as an artist and poet, writing, in his words, “to stay connected to this reality.”

In 1982, Trudell began recording his poetry to traditional Native music and in 1983 he released his debut album Tribal Voice on his own Peace Company label. Trudell then teamed up with the late legendary Kiowa guitarist Jesse Ed Davis. Together, they recorded three albums during the 1980′s. The first of these, AKA Graffiti Man, was released in 1986 and dubbed the best album of the year by Bob Dylan. AKA Graffiti Man served early notice of Trudell’s singular ability to express fundamental truths through a unique mix of poetry, Native music, blues and rock. Since that time, Trudell has released seven more albums plus a digitally re-mastered collection of his early Peace Company cassettes. His 2002 CD, Bone Days, was executive produced by Academy Award winning actress Angelina Jolie and released on the Daemon Records label.

His latest double album, Madness & The Moremes, showcases more than five years of new music and includes special Ghost Tracks of old favorite Trudell tunes made with legendary Kiowa guitarist Jesse Ed Davis. This internet only release offers a full range of classic Trudell poetry — there are lyrics filled with penetrating insight and others with knock out humor, all put to some of the best music Bad Dog has ever made together. Madness and The Moremes is available now on http://www.johntrudell.com

In addition to his music career, Trudell has played roles in a number of feature films, including a lead role in the Mirimax movie Thunderheart and a major part in Sherman Alexie’s Smoke Signals. He most recently played Coyote in Hallmark’s made for television movie, Dreamkeeper.

Miranda Macpherson Awakening Love, Embodying Wisdom. Author of Boundless Love.

Awaken to the stillness of your own heart — God, not merely as concept but as direct experience.

Unwind stuck patterns and habits of suffering gracefully.

Bring your deepest questions and heart-felt concerns to a transformational atmosphere of unconditional love.

You are deeper than you realize. More loving than perhaps you dare to live. Wiser than you know. In the core of your being, you are infinite, boundless, vast. I offer you an invitation to wake up to yourself and live your deepest essence in the world, in a way that cuts through personal and collective habits of suffering.

My greatest joy is to meet with you in soul friendship and dive together into the stillness of your own heart ‚ or God — not as a concept or idea, but as direct experience. In this awareness, you are freed to relax and be yourself. Fearful thoughts and stuck habits are seen for what they are and unravel gracefully. Peace and compassion emerge of themselves. Then you can face the challenges of life with greater insight. Instead of seeking so hard to find love and joy, you can recognize their source inside of yourself and live from that.

This website offers you inspiration and information about how we can connect in person, as well as audio and video downloads so that you can access the grace offered here — from where you are right now.

May you live from your deepest truth in a way that blesses everyone.

Boundless love and blessings.

Not long ago I was diagnosed with cancer of the uterus. After one Doctoring ceremony with Chief Black Horse, the cancer has gone into remission.
I am thankful to the Creator, my Ancestors and to the Chief for the blessing.

(Mono Lake)

Chief Phillip is one of my personal inspiration sources. I always leave his ceremonies feeling incredibly centered, refreshed and with strengthened sense of purpose.
- Dr. Brenda Wade
Psychologist, TV/Radio Host

A deep recognition and respect for Phillip as a devoted teacher, guide, healer and leader comes from my personal experience… I trust and accept his strong, unique medicine and guidance as direct and honorable and believe and know that its source is Spirit, its’ messenger, human. I honor the path that he walks, the chosen sacrifices he continues to make and the challenges that he has faced that have shaped him in the ways that he reveals himself, serves the Creator and follows the guidance of the Tunkashilas on behalf of the people. I find him fair, compassionate and very supportive with whatever comes up as challenges in my life. I am very grateful for the ceremonial way that I now conduct my life and the deeper connection to all life that has been gifted to me through his dedication to this way of life.

I, for one, owe my life to Phillip, not only for the way in which he has directed me over these past couple of years, but also because my life was preserved through a doctoring ceremony for cancer that he conducted on my behalf. Phillip’s oath and surrender to be an instrument for the Creator and the Spirits has facilitated deep healing and personal transformation for me. I carry within me a deep sense of gratitude to him for a renewed and purposeful life….

 Peter Van Dyk 11-12-13

Peter van Dyk interview on his terminal illness and the love he is finding and sharing. Very touching. I am resting in Heart after watching. Watch if you want to soften the edges of your life. – Daniel
“I would like to have one day where not one second I missed one moment of the love that is available.” – Peter Van Dyk”

Peter’s latest message. Enjoy…

Hello my Dear Friends,

I haven’t written for a while, seems like I’m in a holding pattern, been circling for a few weeks checking out safe landing runways.

Basically, magically everything remains the same. I am still waiting on a call back from UCSF about the clinical trial. I am gaining weight, exercising, eating well & feeling loved & loving.

Feeling very blessed, seen & understood, by the closest ‘most’ important people in my life at this time. And even beginning to understand & have a little compassion for myself.

My wild silence the last few weeks has not meant to distance me from you, or lessen the deep appreciation & love I have for you. Instead I have been waiting until I found something honest, something raw, something unique, something I haven’t said before & maybe something NO one else has ever said before. There is something inside me needing to come out, needing to be given voice, there must be, otherwise I would not have this desire, this compelling force to be heard, to be connected to you. So this is it.

I am most amazed, impressed & fascinated by the ability of one human being to love another human being. I think this is the secret of the universe, the multi-verse & the one, the only thing I have to say. People love—– they love each other—–they love themselves—-they love more than one, people love their families, friends, dogs, coffee, a cool breeze on a warm day, and eyes, don’t You just love eyes?

Anyway, this is what has been filling my days, this simple realization, people love. They simply love. They love perfectly & not so perfectly, can any love be imperfect? Doggone, Isn’t that amazing!!! Damn, that is amazing & marvelous & worthy of praise. Everyone I know loves someone, something, some idea, some moment, everyone wants love, needs love, everyone is love.

Stop right now & let love find you, let love fill you, let it flush out anything else……..until only love remains. Isn’t that something, when reminded you can experience, create, remember, find, be love. At any time love is waiting for you & me. Your love is undeniable! My love is undeniable too! Is this love actually yours? Is it mine?

No matter what has been done to you, no matter what you have done to your self or an other, you are still love. You are lovable, loving, loved. You, I all of us are love…….. All of us have this capacity, ability, need, desire, design……. We have been designed to love & this program is our truth!

This cancer, that is inside me, that I am learning to love, this cancer got its start when I forgot this simple, absolute truth. I had chased love away, I had forgotten even the love of God, the love of our designer. And then love came alive in me, again. The cancer sparked, ignited, reminded me of this, our design……….No, actually YOU sparked, ignited, reminded me of this. You, the other in my world, showed up & so did love. It is You, who was designed to love who showed up & graced, blessed me with love & reminded me of my love too. I had forgotten my song, my design, my love……& then you showed up, seeing me, holding me, loving me, singing my song, inviting me, welcoming me, home to my self to your love & then love itself exploded in my soul & love became all there is. And I thank you, you have allowed me to love once again & to know love like never before.

I have been pretty ‘out of it’ today. Before, the 48 hours after chemo were ok, this time not so much.

Hope you are well. Know this you are love. That is all I know now, that’s it. You & I have been designed this way, we forget & then we return to love, ahhhhhhhh as if we could ever go away. Love Love Love, I need to go I hear a song & you wouldn’t want to hear me singing loud & out of tune, All you need is …………

Very touching. I love Peter and have deep deep respect for him.
One of the most real and authentic interviews I have seen. Nothing to sell or get across but love and truth. I am resting in Heart as a result of watching. Thank you!

Men of Tears: The Workshop That Teaches Men to Cry
Once a week, a group of men gather in a room in Sausalito, CA, to share their experience and emotions and maybe even cry. They call themselves the “Men of Tears”.

The workshop is organized by public speaking coach Lee Glickstein and therapist Peter Van Dyk. They provide a safe place for men to get in touch with feelings they may have suppressed since childhood. The group is an all-male subsidiary of Water Workers, an organization also headed by Glickstein, which promotes crying as a therapeutic practice. They claim it is a way to way to release stress and reduce anger and violence.
